Project Eagle, part of the University of Kansas Medical Center, has provided early childhood education services to pregnant women and young children ages 0-5 in Wyandotte County since 1989. Our four distinct programs serve our participants and families annually, accounting for almost 1,000 children and their families: Connections, Family Resource Center, Early Head Start Home Visiting, and Educare Kansas City (Early Head Start and Head Start Center-Based services).
Volunteer duties include: Reading to children, cleaning/sanitizing in classrooms, gardening, supporting teachers in classrooms, supporting special events, etc.
