KU Homeless Outreach serves the local homeless population by providing blood pressure checks, blood glucose checks, over the counter medicines, hygiene products, care packages and other donated items as made available. The outreaches occur on a weekly basis with multiple opportunities to volunteer. We run a medical station at HumanKind's Emergency Winter Shelter throughout the winter months.

Wish Granters are volunteers that meet with a wish kid and their family in pairs to help them determine their one true wish. Wish Granters get to know the wish child by asking them their favorite things, playing games and interacting with them to really understand the most important parts of their wish. Wish Granters are trained by Make-A-Wish staff to ensure they are comfortable and have everything they need to help make the child's wish come true. The Wish Granters work with the Make-A-Wish staff to make the wish come true. It is a very rewarding volunteer opportunity which will bring hope, strength and joy to these amazing kids.
