KU Homeless Outreach

KU Homeless Outreach is a student-led organization started by medical students with a desire to help those facing homelessness in our community. We are partnered with HumanKind Ministries, Church on the Street, and Hope in Action to help provide food, shelter, and basic care to the homeless population.

KU Homeless Outreach serves the local homeless population by providing blood pressure checks, blood glucose checks, over the counter medicine, hygiene products, care packages and other donated items as made available. The outreaches occur on a monthly basis with multiple of opportunities to volunteer. We run a medical station at HumanKind's Emergency Winter Shelter throughout the winter months.
