Health Career Collaborative - Wichita

Health Career Collaborative (HCC) is a national program with the goal of connecting medical students with under-resourced high school students. KUSOM-W has created a partnership with North High School in Wichita to offer a local HCC program. KUSOM-W students use the national HCC curriculum to teach WHS students about medical cases and careers in medicine. The KUSOM-W mentors then build on the curriculum to teach students about their own pathways to medical school, encourage academic excellence in their mentees, and provide support for each student from the beginning of their sophomore year through the end of their senior year of high school.
